A little bit about me and my work

I am a UK-based artist, originally from Slovakia, painting mainly with oils, acrylics, or collages.

My work focuses mainly on the figurative representation of the current society, documenting a modern way of living and reflecting on the current cultural or media trends through the behaviour of an individual. As a person passionate about nature and the environment, I often include issues related to climate change within my work as I feel it helps me to truly represent our society. I see my art as a way of recording stories that I feel are typical for the times we live in. This allows me to capture something familiar and reexamine it in a new light. My paintings honour women and their place in society. My work developed from an urge to address the lack of historical recognition of women and their significant contributions.
